Gilbert Public Schools Policy IKF - Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from a Gilbert Public High School, students must meet the Arizona state standards as measured by the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) tests and earn the high school course credits outlined below.
Students graduating in 2013 and beyond are required to earn a minimum of 22 credits as outlined in the following table:
English 4.0 Credits
Social Studies 3.0 Credits
Math 4.0 Credits*
Science 3.0 Credit
Physical Education 1.0 Credit
CTE or Fine Arts 2.0 Credits**
Electives 5.0 Credits
Total 22.0 Credit
*Credit requirement may be reduced through a Personal Curriculum as defined in
AAC R7-2-302.03 (Arizona Department of Education - PDF file).

**CTE: Anything Agriculture; Business & Technology (Computers, Marketing, Advanced Business, Broadcasting/Video Productions); Family and Consumer Science (FACS) (Culinary, Child Development, Toybox); or  Industrial Education (Engineering, Woodworking)

** Fine Arts: Choir, Band, Orchestra, Theatre, Art, Clay, Metals & Jewelry
