About Me  ¿Quién soy yo?

I am the dual enrollment Spanish III and Spanish IV teacher at Mesquite High School.  This is my third year teaching Spanish and it is my second year teaching at Mesquite High School.  This year I will also teach Spanish for Spanish speakers.  I am very excited to start another year as a Wildcat!

I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish in 2005.  I returned to ASU and received my Master of Education in Secondary Education degree in 2013.

Originally, I am from Wisconsin.  I moved to Phoenix, AZ when I was 15, just as I started my sophomore year of high school.  One year later I moved to Mesa, AZ and I graduated from Red Mountain High School in 2001.

I have two children who both attend Gilbert Elementary School and are enrolled in their dual language program-learning Spanish along with the other subjects.  Andrew is 10 and he is starting 4th grade.  Allison is 6 and she is entering first grade.

I have travelled to several parts of Mexico and I have familia that live in Mexico City.  I dream of travelling to other Spanish-speaking countries and other places around the world.

I look forward to starting a new school year and I can't wait to meet my students (and to see some returning friendly faces!)

¡Saludos!
