Welcome! 

Algebra 1: 

This course will include the study of algebra concepts, functions, sequences, statistics, analysis of graphs and charts, and number theory.  There will be an emphasis on skills, application of the concepts of algebra and building a strong foundation for continuing studies of mathematics. This class will not just be about the computation of numbers, you will be required to support your numbers with logic and sound explanations. Students will experience a variety of learning strategies while taking this course.

 Honors Algebra 1: 

This course is an in-depth study of Algebra. It includes algebra concepts, functions, sequences, statistics, analysis of graphs and charts, and number theory.  There will be an emphasis on skills, application of the concepts of algebra and building a strong foundation for continuing studies of mathematics. This class will not just be about the computation of numbers, you will be required to support your numbers with logic and sound explanations. I will often require an explanation - convince me you know what you’re talking about or you will lose points! Students will experience a variety of learning strategies while taking this course.

 Geometry:

This course includes communicating with the vocabulary and notation of Geometry, deductive reasoning, measurement, discrete math, problem solving and applications of geometric theorems and drawings and models to real world problems.

Students can find homework and unit calendars on their google classroom.

About Me:

I have a bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Business & Communication and a Post-Bac in Secondary Education from Arizona State University.
