Mission Statement

The mission of the Mesquite High School Business Education Department is dedicated to preparing students for a rapidly changing world  by increasing each student’s proficiency and working knowledge  of business and computer skills as well as exposure to information technology.

Vision Statement

Every Mesquite High School student will demonstrate proficiency in industry standard software to ensure success in one’s personal life, college study and career choice.

ANNOUNCING: MC3- Mesquite's Computer, Certificate & College Program

Mesquite High School Business Department has partnered with Chandler Gilbert Community College to provide MHS students with the unparalleled opportunity to prepare for future academic and workforce opportunities. We will be offering a new business program for students who want to earn high school credits, college credits (16 CIS credits) and MICROSOFT CERTIFICATIONS through a guided pathway to success.

All grade levels are eligible for this opportunity. Students with a 2.0 gpa or better  and their parents are invited to an informational  meeting to be held on January 16th at 6:00 pm in the MHS Library.  We will be answering questions and offering pre-registration for this program.  If you have questions, please email:

Mesquite High School  Business Education News

Spark App

On November 8th & 9th, students in Ms. Fraser’s. Ms. Forcey’s and Mr. Mihalchick’s Business classes competed in this year’s Spark Game Jam. The contest is sponsored by the Town of Gilbert, Arizona State University Polytechnic Institute, the Smithsonian Museum and Google's Waymo division. This year’s event included collaboration with the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation. This year was MHS’s fourth year of participation. In past years Mesquite teams have won 2nd Place overall, and 1st Place for Design.

SPARK Game Jam is a contest where students learn and demonstrate coding concepts while making their own games. The event is free to attend and is open to all Junior High and High School students in Arizona who want to learn code while competing for awards, prizes, and more. .
