Senior Checklist

Congratulations on making it to your Senior year!
Once you have completed your FAFSA, please complete the student questionnaire through this link:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C2GAStudentReport2018  

ATTENDANCE: Be in school. Signing in and out is detrimental to your academic and social progress.


CREDITS: Arizona university entrance credit requirements and Gilbert Public School graduation requirements are listed on page 4 of the course description book. Know what you need to graduate. If you are not sure if you are on track, see your counselor immediately.


COLLEGE APPLICATIONS: You should have applied to schools of choice by now. If not, make applying a priority over the winter break. Click here to request transcripts for your applications. Alternatively, transcripts are available from our MHS Registrar, Cathy Reinart. Please call 480-632-4750 x1118 or email cathy.reinart@gilbertschools.net to request more information on transcript requests. SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are here! Start applying now. Check Mrs. Lyman’s Scholarship page for a list of available scholarships along with your own search.


LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: If you need a letter of recommendation, think of the teachers, counselors, and/or administrators, coaches, etc. who know you well and who would provide helpful information about you. Complete the Request for Letter of Recommendation Form and Questionnaire for a Letter of Recommendation and give the completed forms to your recommender. Inform your recommender of any deadlines. Give your recommender at least 2 weeks notice!!


RESUME AND CAREER SUPPORT: Mrs. Lyman’s career page also includes information on vocational training, job posting links as well as resume tips. Make an appointment in the Career Center if you have any further questions.


FINANCIAL AID: Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) early, some states have limited funding. Follow this link to get started.


ACT/SAT TESTING: Don’t wait until the last minute to study! Click here for more information about testing dates, registration, and study tips.


GRADUATION: Orders for your cap and gown are due on January 18th or prices will increase. Order on the Balfour website. Graduation is on May 23rd at 7:30pm at the Wells Fargo Arena. Click here for more information about graduation.
