Welcome!

Early Childhood Educaiton/Child Development and Introduciton to TOYBOX:
During Early Childhood Educaiton/Child Development and Introduction to TOYBOX students learn about intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of a child. Students focus on the development of toddlers and preschool children. Introduction to TOYBOX must be taken before students can take TOYBOX.

TOYBOX:
TOYBOX stands for Training Opportunities with Youngsters to Broaden Occupational eXperiences. The TOYBOX Program is an early learning center within an occupational high school laboratory setting. Mesquite high school students enrolled in the TOYBOX class teach the preschool children throughout the day. With guidance, from the preschool director and preschool teachers, high school students plan, create and implement daily lessons for the preschool children.
