All schools are licensed by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology and accredited by NACCAS unless noted.  All schools provide courses which prepare graduates to take the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination in either cosmetology, manicuring or student instructor.  The standard enrollment requirements for:

Cosmetology or Manicuring: Two years of high school or GED:

Student Instructor:   Current Arizona cosmetology license, one year of experience, high school grad or GED.

Course length:  Cosmetology - 1,600 hours, Nail Technology - 600 hours, Student Instructor - 650 hours, Aesthetician - 600 hours.

Refresher Courses of Cosmetologist:  Most cosmetology schools offer brush-up and refresher courses for those with previous cosmetology training and experience.  Contact the individual school for requirements and costs.
