Attention PIANO PLAYERS!!!! Mesquite Strolling Strings needs YOU! Mesquite Strolling Strings performs popular music for school orchestra concerts, community functions, and senior centers. This is your chance to perform! For more information email Mrs. Caruso carrie.caruso@gilbertschools.net.

Mesquite High School Choirs present “Flight” on Thursday, March 8 @ 7pm. Enjoy the free concert in the Auditorium.

The Gatorade Vending Machine is fully stocked.  We just added Propels for $1.25. Also, we have a special going right now.  If you buy a Protein Shake or Protein Bar from the machine you get a FREE Gatorade Fuel Bar.  To get the free bar see Ms. Krasner in C112, the Athletic Training Room.

Seniors:  Please stop by the library soon and return your lost library books and pay your fines.  You don't want graduation to be in jeopardy due to missing items!

Seniors!  Please stop by the bookstore to see if you owe any fees!  All fees need to be paid and all textbooks returned before Graduation.

AzMerit and State Science tests are just around the corner.  ALL Chromebooks must be in working order for those tests. If you have a broken screen or a battery issue, please come to the library ASAP and get those issues taken care of.  

If you owe money on a broken screen, we need those fees paid so your loaners can be reissued to other students.  Please take care of this immediately!



Students: Come to our Mindfulness Center and experience, first-hand, some of the many benefits of using mindfulness. Come during your lunch hour. There are two sessions each lunch hour - Students for 4th hour 10:35-10:55 and 11:05-11:25

Please join a club this year! It looks good on a resume and you may have a fun time!

The National Honor Society is meeting TODAY in the G-Lecture Hall @ 2:30 PM. All members are expected to be there.

Juniors if you signed up to take Comp 101 next year, please stop by the Career Ctr to schedule your Accuplacer test. You must pass the WritePlacer test to take Comp 101 next year.

Applications for the next session of the ASU Cesar Chavez Leadership Institute are online. For more info on who can apply and when the due date is, see Mrs. Lyman in the College & Career Ctr.

Junior Girls - Girls State applications are in! If you are interested in going to a Citizens Leadership seminar this summer at Univ of Arizona, pick up an application in the Career Ctr.

Junior Boys - Boys State applications are in! This Citizen Leadership seminar is a great opportunity for you to learn more about our government. Pick up an application in the Career Ctr.

Seniors - It is not to late! Apply for FAFSA - the Free application for Federal Student Aid! Stop by the Career Ctr for more information on how to get this Free money! It’s all online at fafsa.ed.gov

GYES - Gilbert Youth Employment Service can help you find a part-time job. Be sure to stop by and see Mrs. Lyman for an application and information. Jobs are listed on the District and School websites.

Scholarships  - Now is the time to look for scholarships for college!  Gilbert Education Foundation has listed this year's scholarships online. Go to www.gefaz.org for application and instructions. There are 10 $1,000  available and 2 that are worth $3,000.

The Steve Brabec Scholarship is available to those students in Pre-calc or a higher math class. Pick up an application in the Career Center.

A list of scholarships can be found on our school website.  Also check out the AZCIS website. See Mrs. Lyman in the College & Career Ctr if you forgot your username and password.

Sports - Go Cats


Be sure to check out our Athletics on our school webpage for all sports. Support MHS by going to our games!!

The boys and girls track teams are looking for underclassmen who would like to become a hurdler.  No experience necessary just a desire to learn and compete. Contact Coach Jones if you have question.
