AP World Studies and Psychology
Room: G 211

Mr. Krahn's AP World History class is a year-long course in which students examine the development of the civilized world. The class is designed to focus on the taking of the AP World History exam on Thursday, May 11th, 2017. Students examine the human story from man’s control of nature to terrorism of the 21st century. This class is approached as a college-level class and therefore students are expected to be self-motivated, thoughtful, and complete assignments without constant monitoring.

Mr. Krahn's psychology class is an elective course focusing on introducing high school students to the basic principles of human behavior and thought processes.

About Me

My name is Greg Krahn and I am a graduate of Mesquite High School. From 2009 to 2013 I attended Arizona State University majoring in history education and I couldn't be more proud to be teaching at my Alma mater.

I love history and I love teaching because I am able to share my passion with all my students. I believe that history can be fun and I hope to spark interest and excitement for the subject while fostering creativity and personal growth through the study of the past. My main goal for my students is always enlightening students about the core significance of primary source documents and artifacts through our study of world history. In essence, I attempt to show students what it is like becoming “real” historians.

Outside of the classroom, I volunteer my time with the Arizona High School Hockey association coaching the Mesquite Wildcats Hockey Club. I am also the head coach of Mesquite's Varsity Girl's Tennis team.
