American History from Native Americans to current events comes alive in our classroom. My professional goals are that students will gain a greater appreciation for their American citizenship and a greater desire to serve their country.  My mission statement is that our humanity, respect, and love for one another may increase.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah in Secondary History Teaching and received a Master's degree in Education from Arizona State University.  My husband and I are the parents of six sensational children and currently sixteen grandchildren.  This is my nineteenth year of teaching a variety of history classes to students at Mesquite High School: World History to sophomores, American History to juniors, and AP European History to juniors and seniors. It has been a grand adventure and I have gathered many gemstones along the way!
