Gilbert Public Schools is launching ParentSquare as our new district-wide communication platform in January 2026. Your school has been selected to participate in our district pilot, which will begin in October 2025 and will include: Mesquite High, Mesquite Junior High, Settler’s Point Elementary, Playa del Rey Elementary, Gilbert Elementary, and Burk Elementary.

Gilbert Public Schools has welcomed over 200 new teachers and staff members for the 2025-2026 school year, including Mesquite High's Rachel Solis. As the new school year continues, Mrs. Solis shares how her move to Mesquite High has created a meaningful impact on her students and classroom.

The new policy includes ‘No Cell Bell to Bell' for grades 9-12. Our high schools have been operating ‘No Cell Bell to Bell’ last school year, and this policy will formalize these approaches designed to promote learning through reduced distractions and increased focus.

Two GPS elementary art teachers, Kecia Sweeney and Tina Rey, have been recognized in the state of Arizona for their exceptional contributions to arts educationgoing above and beyond in their service to our students and the field of art education.

GPS Future Farmers of America (FFA) students travelled to Indianapolis for the 98th Annual National FFA Convention, where they earned a Silver ranking in the Meat Evaluation event. The Gilbert High School Chapter was honored with a Three-Star National Chapter Award, and seven students received American FFA Degrees.

At Gilbert Public Schools, excellence doesn't come by accident. It comes from a non-negotiable commitment to student success across the district, which has earned GPS an A-rating for three consecutive years since the return of district letter grades - an achievement that wouldn’t be possible without extensive work being done behind the scenes at both the campus and district levels.

At Campo Verde High, BioMed seniors didn’t just participate in their Project Lead the Way Showcase—they ran it. Drawing on the skills they’ve developed, these students set out to grow their program and show how BioMed prepares them for what’s ahead.
